Live broadcasting is very different to sharing recorded audio. It’s all about a one-off event: a live happening a broadcaster can share with their listeners in real-time, reacting to feedback in real-time.
So getting listeners to tune in at the right time is important. To make this easier to achieve, we’ve pushed out a hot new feature to Mixlr. It’s now possible to automatically export your scheduled live broadcasts as Facebook Events, and invite your Facebook friends to listen.
Mixlr scheduled broadcasts work really well as Facebook events, because every Facebook friend that you invite and RSVPs gets a reminder through Facebook shortly before your broadcast starts.
Exporting is really easy to do. Firstly, schedule a broadcast in the usual way.
Then, fill in your broadcast details as usual.
Once you’ve scheduled successfully, you’ll be given the option to export the live broadcast to Facebook.
Now, sign into your Facebook account if required, and confirm that you want Mixlr to be able to create events for you.
Once the event has been scheduled, you’ll be able to invite some or all of your Facebook friends. Any that you invite will receive a standard Facebook event invite, and have the chance to RSVP to let you know if they’ll be tuning in!
We hope this feature makes it easier for live broadcasters to promote their events. If you’ve got any queries then feel free to get in touch.
