For the past couple of months, we’ve been busy settling into our new offices in Hackney, East London. This week our new home, Netil House, hosted it’s annual Open Studios event, where all residents open up their space to the public, to showcase what they are working on. It was a great opportunity not only to give visitors a glimpse of the day-to-day life at Mixlr, but also to meet and mingle with the creative community of East London.
Netil House was once an abandoned college, before it was transformed into what is now one of the creative hubs of East London, with over 90 studios housing creative agencies, startups and artists. Alongside the studios is a cafe/bar, a huge rooftop with some killer views of London, and a market filled with street food masters and artisan traders.
The Open Studios event saw over 2000 people visit and explore the space, networking and discovering the wide range of independent projects being undertaken by the residents, climaxing in true Netil House style – a rooftop party!
We met some really inspiring people working on a wide range of projects, and we look forward to spending many more nights with the East London creative community at our new home.
