This article explains how to broadcast on Mixlr using DJ software – Traktor, and an external MIDI controller – Traktor S2. You’ll be using Traktor to mix tracks from your PC and the S2 to control your levels crossfader etc
Step 1 – Open Traktor preferences
You will find the audio preferences in Traktor’s settings:
Step 2 – Traktor Audio Setup
Ensure the Audio Setup settings in Traktor are as follows:
Step 3 – Traktor Output Setup
Ensure the Output Routing settings are as follows:
Step 4 – Open Mixlr
Open the Mixlr app. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, you can do so here.
Step 5 – Select the Traktor S2 Master as your audio source:
Select Traktor S2 from the audio source menu, make sure you select the one marked WDM
TIP – If you have problems – check the Volume Control within Windows to ensure the correct levels are set and that it’s receiving audio from the desired sources.
Step 6 – Go Live and enjoy!
