Hello Mixlr creators,
We just dropped a new feature that changes how you organize and share your audio content on Mixlr: introducing Collections. This new functionality allows you to group Recordings into themed playlists, providing a more organized and engaging way to showcase your audio to your audience.
Collections: curate your audio, your way
As a creator, you’re constantly looking for ways to showcase your work effectively. Collections are here to help you do just that. Whether you want to group content by theme, event, series, or any other category, Collections give you the flexibility to present your audio in a way that makes sense for both you and your listeners.
Benefits of using Collections
- Grouping: Group recordings by theme, series, genre, event, or any other way that fits your Channel’s content strategy.
- Enhanced discoverability: Make it easier for listeners to find and enjoy a series or a specific type of content on your Channel.
- Increased engagement: Keep your audience engaged with more structured and accessible content organization.
- Showcase your range: Highlight the diversity of your content by creating different Collections for various types of audio you create.
Creating and sharing Collections
- Create your Collection: Visit the Recordings management area in your Creators Space and create a Collection, giving it a title, description and image.
- Select access level: Decide if you want your Collection to be listed on your Channel or choose “unlisted” and make it shareable only via link.
- Select your Recordings: Choose from your existing Recordings on Mixlr and add them to your collection.
- Share with your audience: Once your Collection is ready, share it with your audience on Mixlr and across your social media platforms.
Ideas for using Collections
- Podcasters: Podcast creators can use Collections to group their episodes by themes, interviewees, or series. This is especially useful for podcasts that cover a wide range of topics or have episodic content.
- Religion/Spirituality: Group your sermons, teachings, meditations, or spiritual discussions. Collections can be organized by topic, religious events, or scriptural studies, offering a rich resource for spiritual growth and exploration.
- Sports: Create Collections for different sports teams, specific games, or commentary highlights. This allows sports enthusiasts to relive their favorite moments or catch up on games they missed.
- Musicians: For music creators, organize your tracks by album, genre, mood, or release date. Share the Collection like you would a playlist.
- Educational content: If your Channel focuses on educational material, group your content by subject, level, or format.
Getting the most out of Collections
Collections not only enhance the listener’s experience but also give you a creative way to organize and present your content. They can be used as a tool for storytelling, showcasing your growth as a creator, or simply as a way to make your Channel more navigable.
